The beer: Tropical Becky

Brewed by: Pondaseta Brewing Company, Amarillo, Texas

Description (from the website): "Tropical Becky is the early summer sister of our house Blonde Ale, Becky. It’s brewed with all local Texas malt from Maverick Malt House for a smooth bready base, and then refermented with pineapple puree and lime juice. It’s the perfect blend of easy-drinking beer and tropical fruit! It’s subtle, but boldly refreshing."

Would I buy it again? The lime is definitely more dominant than the pineapple in this beer, though you can taste both. Personally, I would have preferred the pineapple be more forward, so I'd probably give this one a pass in the future. It's good, but not quite what I was looking for.

Brewed by: Cushwa Brewing Company, Williamsport, Maryland

That’ll Play is a clean, crisp lager packed with refreshing lime flavor. This beer is a perfect warm weather crusher and will help you forget about every duck hook and duffed shot on the golf course."

Would I buy it again?: I can't resist the golf-themed beers. Taste wise, this is pretty simple, it's a lager with lime in it. It's very refreshing, though perhaps not the ideal beer for the winter. But hey, it was 60 degrees when I drank this and I had just played golf, so it worked. I'd buy this again.

The beer: Cat 5 Key Lime Lager

Brewed by: Fordham & Dominion Brewing Company, Dover, Delaware

Description (from the website): "Brewed with inspiration from our sister restaurant, Rams Head Southernmost, this Key lime lager is the perfect storm of light-bodied, refreshing, and delectable. The subtle Key lime flavor rushes over the pallet with a nice crisp finish from the Glacier and Perle hops."

Would I buy it again?: I was pretty sure I wasn't going to be a huge fan of this beer since I don't care for citrus, but you don't see fruit-flavored lagers too often, and the can was an odd shape, so I went for it anyway. It did not surprise me; this is a lager that tastes like lime. If you're the sort of person who can't drink a Corona without a lemon, I'm sure you'd like this a lot. I am not that sort of person, so I wouldn't go for it again.
